Dear fans of the Vis Moot,
on the past weekend we had the opportunity to participate in the famous Brno Pre-Moot hosted by Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. We are always happy to start the oral phase of the competition at on of our fellow Czech universities and once again we must express our gratitude for the excellently organized event. Our thanks go to Klára Drličková, Slavo Halla, Ivan Cisár and their team, who outdid themselves once again. After short bus ride we spent the Friday evening on last minute preparations and organization. Saturday then presented us with great pleadings: level of both, teams and arbitrators was (as usual) very high. Our team was paired against home Masaryk University, Palacký University of Olomouc, Jagellonian University of Krakow, ELTE University of Budapest, Maribor University and then got to a deserved rest at a wonderful dinner party nearby. Sunday topped things off with tough hearings against University of Silesia from Katowice and Comenius University of Bratislava. The experience would have been perfect as such, but things did not end there. We were fortunate to do well in the pleadings, which materialized in second overall place among the teams! Moreover, our team members Teodora Drašković and Maroš Kandrík received awards for second runner-up Best Advocate and runner-up Best Advocate, respectively! Now we are looking forward to the Erlangen Pre-Moot on the next weekend! See you there and, Brno, see you next year! Some photos from our trip are below.
